Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Examinations

At Vaadi Music School, I prepare students for the prestigious Gandharva Mahavidyalaya exam. This exam has two main sections: Melodic and Percussion.

Under Melodic, students can choose vocal, harmonium, flute, or sitar.

Percussion includes tabla, pakhawaj, mrudangam, or other rhythm instruments.

I not only train students in technique and theory, but also guide them through registration, practice schedules, and exam readiness. My goal is to ensure that every student feels confident and supported throughout their journey.

Eligibility Criteria

To appear for the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya exam, students must meet certain age and preparation criteria:

Eligibility Overview
For Praveshika Purna (entry-level), students must be at least 12 years old by January 15 (for April/May session) or August 15 (for November/December session).

For Madhyama Purna (intermediate level), the minimum age is 14 years on the same respective dates.

Students must receive permission from their teacher or principal to appear, and consistent attendance and preparation are essential.

How Vaadi Music School Supports Students

At Vaadi Music School, we guide each student step-by-step through this journey:

We assess their readiness and help them choose the right level and instrument—whether it’s vocal, harmonium, flute, sitar, tabla, pakhawaj, or mrudangam.

We create personalized practice plans and ensure they understand both the theoretical and practical aspects of performance.

We assist with form filling, exam registration, and even collecting admit cards on time.

We conduct mock exams and give detailed feedback so students feel confident and well-prepared.

My goal is to make the entire process smooth, enriching, and empowering—so students not only pass, but truly grow as musicians.
